Dental Assistants Win First Prize at Scarlet Oaks Health Fair

Special congratulations go to The Dental Assisting program at Scarlet Oaks Career Development Campus for taking first place at the Scarlet Oaks Health Fair held November 25, 1997. The four member team, let by instructor Karen Spradlin, put on a table clinic demonstration of Smokeless Tobacco featuring information from the National Institutes of Health, American Cancer Society and the Oregon Mint Snuff Company. The team competed against 25 other clinics during this fair and were simply the best! Approximately 600 visitors came to the health fair including Scarlet Oaks students as well as the members of the community, administration, health care workers, many schools and hospital/doctor/dentist employees.
